At E. Stewart Mitchell, Inc. we don’t just talk about making a difference in our communities. Instead, we “walk the walk,” literally. We’ve been doing it since we took to the streets (some of which we may have helped to pave!) during our first Christmas Walk in 2004. After delivering food, gifts and Christmas cheer to more than 60 families, we were hooked!

Several years ago our company, in partnership with family, employees and other caring community members, founded a non-profit organization called Walk the Walk. Our mission is to promote well-being among the needy in our midst by initiating and supporting programs which promote self reliance through education, mentorship and training.

We took on this mission because, first, we believe successful people should reach out to give others a hand. We’ve been blessed, and we want to share those blessings with communities in need. Our Walk the Walk foundation supports several programs tasked with achieving our mission, including:

Footprints:
Helps young adults to identify their gifts, seek training and education as well as work toward a chosen career path to become responsible, productive citizens.

Footpaths:
Provides resources for parents seeking educational assistance for their children and provides schools with funds to initiate new programs designed to help students with learning challenges.

Pathfinder:
Provides direction, mentorship and encouragement to young adults. Promotes training to enter the trades and pursue higher education to help secure employment.
